Welcome Change
We have started another month. September is a month of changes. We start transitioning from summer to autumn. The sniffles of fall allergies have started. We see the sun go to bed earlier each night. We watch as the local stores transform from Back to School to Christmas.
We usually use the word change as a verb. We change the sheets on the bed. We change the oil in the car. Change does take action. It takes a concentrated effort to become different.
But the definition of the noun change is interesting – “a new and refreshingly different experience”. That is what I want for my life. Reading God’s Word, going to His Church, and fellowshipping with His people are all ways to see alterations in our lives. The action of “giving up something in exchange for something else” will bring on the change of a new experience with the Lord.
Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” We can turn over our old life to Jesus and He will give us a new life in Him. What better change would you need for your life?
